Online Laboratory Data Management System
The Polio Laboratory Network is a network of laboratories mandated by WHO/Europe to assist the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI) in fighting polio in the European Region. As the majority of polio infections occur without symptoms, the Network plays a crucial role in detecting such infections using the latest advancements in molecular biology.
WHO/Europe strives to ensure a high standard of laboratory services in the European Region by training and supplying Network laboratories with required equipment and reagents and regularly assessing and facilitating improvement in the quality of their work.
The online Laboratory Data Management System (LDMS) launched in 2011 provides laboratories in the Network with a user-friendly tool for online reporting of results and access to reported data.
This website also offers global, regional and national immunization profiles of the 53 Member States in the Region, as well as valuable resources for Network members, such as laboratory manuals, biosafety guidelines and instructions on reporting.
